The broadcast concentration focuses more on the communication aspect of meteorology. Students take courses in the communications department in addition to the core earth science curriculum. The broadcast studio gives students the opportunity to polish their on-air skills at the chroma-key and interaction with news talent. Practicum in Broadcast Meteorology (EAS 431 & 432) are specifically designed for this purpose.
