Itinerary

            The Southwest PA Chapter of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) was proud to sponsor a visiting scientist, Mr. Jason J. Levit.  During his visit, Levit presented the operations that occur at the NWS/NOAA Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK.  Levit is a Techniques Development Meteorologist at the NOAA/NWS Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK.  Mr. Levit received his B.S. and M.S. in Meteorology in 1996 and 1998, respectively, from the University of Oklahoma.  Prior to joining the SPC in 2003, Mr. Levit worked at the Center for Analysis and Prediction of Storms as a Research Scientist, where he focused on severe storm research using high-resolution storm-scale numerical weather prediction models.
