Dr. Cary Mock is a graduate of the University of Oregon (1994) and is currently an associate professor at the University of South Carolina in their Department of Geography.  As a synoptic and paleoclimatologist, Dr. Mock's research links atmospheric patterns with climate variations (El Nino/Artic Oscillation in particular), and recently received a grant from the National Science Foundation to study climatic extremes during the 19th century.  Featured in many professional publications, it is our pleasure to have Dr. Cary Mock join the Southwest Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Meteorology Society on Friday, November 3, 2006 in EST 110 at 2 PM.
