Dr. Scott Sheridan currently serves as an Associate Professor of Geography at Kent State University.  Dr. Sheridan attended Rutgers (1993), Texas A&M (1995) and University of Delaware (2000) where he completed his Ph.D. in Climatology.  He has been the Field editor for the International Journal of Biometeorology since 2003.  His interests include climate, human health, and synoptic climatology.  Dr.Sheridan will join the California University of Pennsylvania Meteorology Club on Friday, October 12, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in Eberly Science and Technology Room 110.  His presentation is entitled "Heat Related Mortality- Forecasting and Mitigation".
