CHOICES
The California alcohol and drug education intervention program
provides assessment, educational and referral services for students
whose behavior while under the influence of alcohol and/ or
drugs, is harmful to themselves or others, especially residents
whose lives maybe affected by substance- abusing students. A
student may enter the program voluntarily; if substance abuses
a factor in your life you may be referred to the program by
a residence hall director, graduate assistant, judicial officer,
magistrate, faculty member or administrator. If you are referred
to the program, you must complete 8 hours of educational work
in addition to 2 individual sessions. For more information cal1

C.H.E.E.R.S.
(Collegians Helping Educate Each other Regarding Substances)
C.H.E.E.R.S. is a student based program, providing education
and information about alcohol and other drug issues for the
campus community . Peer education is one strategy that utilizes
students to educate fellow students about common drug and alcohol
