The mission of CHOICES and CHEERS is to promote a drug-free community at California University of Pa. These programs raise awareness, provide education, and intervention to students. The use of illegal substances and the abuse of alcohol by university students impair academic achievement, personal development, and productivity .The university is committed to provide safe and drug-free working conditions for employees and living and learning environment for students.

GOALS:

•Reduce the abuse and misuse of alcohol and other drugs in the University community .
•Provide a positive and drug free learning environment for students.
•Develop support and empower students who choose not to abuse alcohol or use illegal substances.
•Correct misperceptions of student alcohol and other drug use by students at California University of Pennsylvania.
