New Senator Orientation: workshop in Parlamentary procedure duties as a senator and your right to stand up and be heard 2. Impeachment of lax senators: Motion to impeach Margaret Glen and Mike Gregory due to persistant absence in excess of 2 meetings - Lokay 2nd - Konrad Motion Passes Unamiously V. VICE PRESIDENTÕS REPORT 1. Committees meet in Student Govt and you will establish dates for guest speakers along with organizing future meetings. VI. FINANCIAL SECRETARYÕS REPORT (Financial Secretary Littlehale will act as Parliamentarian for this meeting until one is appointed by President Purtell at the next meeting) 1. Motion for $250 to pay dues to Board of Student Government Presidents- Lokay 2nd - Deleny Motion Passes Unamiously 2. Motion to give $481.23 to the Psychology Club for the School of Psychology to take a trip to Penn State regarding a Psychology Conference - Lokay 2nd - Morelli 29 in favor 8 oppose 2 abstain Motion Passes VII. RECORDING SECRETARYÕS REPORT 1. A committee has finished the draft proposal for the new student evaluation of professors which does meet the guidelines set by the board of govenors and puts more emphasis on student opinons in addition to the previous fill in the bubble style. 2. A change machine in the Library is being investigated into the feasability to retrofitting previous machine or possiably a new machine exclusively for the purpose of giveing change. 3. Student Government had a meeting with the PROS Club (Public Relations Club): they plan to make a commersial for student government this semester and all proposed info is welcome. they plan to make a stategic plan for next semester public relations campaign. VIII. CORRESPONDING SECRETARYÕS REPORT 1. SAI webteam will have problems for the next two weeks so no new updates will be made until they are put back online. IX. PUBLIC RELATIONS SECRETARYÕS REPORT President Purtell appoints Senator Konrad new Public Relations Secretary X. PARLIAMENTARIANÕS REPORT (Parliamentarian Seat Open... President Purtell will Choose Appointee by Next Meeting) XI. OLD BUSINESS XII. NEW BUSINESS 1. Konrad requests the opinions of senators on the survey to form a new WVCS logo. 2. Alpha Kappa Alpha - will be having a blood drive on the 4th of November. 3. President Purtell instructs new senators on the functions of Student Government. 4. SAI rep Perry - Requests info on how Senator Lokay was elected to Student Government. XIII. Announcements - SAB meets Thursdays at 4:PM XIV. GUEST SPEAKER 1. Dean of Student Services Barry Nicolai spoke on the proposed new dorms at college farm which would be on SAI property, new garden style apartments which would be of "competive" rates. XV.
