Purpose

Certified, Sexual Assault Student Counselors offering cofidential crisis intervention, emotional support, and advocacy 24 hours a day, seven days a week, through the SSART hotline service.

• Offer emotional support and provide the survivor with any safety precautions necessary.
  
  
• Provide clarity and a sense of calmness in the midst of confusion.
  
  
• Provide information concerning medical care, prosecution, campus police, and counseling.
  
  
• Accompany the survivor to a hospital and/or legal proceedings if required.
  
  
• Provide advocacy service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  
  
• Assure confidentiality through certified sexual assault counselors supplied
