To become a S.S.A.R.T. advocate you are required to:

1. Complete the certified sexual assault counselor-training program. The CARE Center S.T.T.A.R.S. Program provides this training and your expenses for the training will be covered by The PEACE Project. The time and location will depend on the number of students that apply for the advocacy training.

2. You must successfully complete the 40-hour training program. These hours will be broken up over the course of the semester.
***If you would like to be a SSART member but cannot complete the 40 hours of training, there are still other opportunities available within this organization.

If you are interested please contact Cheryl Danko, Project Coordinator of the PEACE Project at 724-938-5707 or by email at peace@cup.edu
