Safe Zone Planning Commitee
The Cal U Safe Zone has been developed with the help of many people. The Safe Zone Committee would like to thank the following folks for their assistance: Dr. Paul E. Burd (Vice President, Cal U Student Development) for the financial and personnel support without which the Cal U Safe Zone would not exist. Dr. Rita G. Drapkin, Ms. Malinda Cowles, and Dr. Lynne Alvine (Indiana University of Pennsylvania Safe Zone) for sharing the experiences, advice, and materials that come out of the IUP Safe Zone. Much of this manual has been borrowed from the IUP manual with the gracious permission of the IUP committee. Without this help, beginning a safe zone program would have been much more daunting. Dr. Rosemary E. Simmons (Southern Illinois University at Carbondale) for the original development of much of this manual. Mr. William O'Donnell (Cal U Theatre Department) for designing the Safe Zone logo for the Cal U program.
