Jamison is currently a graduate student at California University of PA, and has been overseeing all off-ice operations for the team since the 2002-03 season. Jamison, a native of Erie, PA, played four years for McDowell High School. Jamison is not only a former player (2002/03-2006/07) for the CHE team, but he also handles most off ice operations for the team including all scheduling and financial activities. Under Jamison's tenure as President (2002/03-2005/06) of the Cal Hockey Club, the club has been revamped and is looking like a strong contender in the CHE for years to come. Matt is from Canonsburg, PA. He played four years of hockey for Canon-McMillan High School. Matt is currently a senior at California University of PA. He is majoring in English with a minor in Business. He was named President in the 2006-2007 season and will serve a two year term. Matt will oversee many on and off ice operations for both teams.

Brandon is from Belle Vernon, PA. He has played for California for the past two seasons. Brandon is currently majoring in Sports Management and is a junior at California University of PA. Brandon was named Vice President this past off season and is looking forward to assisting the President as well as running the fundraising aspect of the club.

Rick a native of Jefferson Hills, PA is currently a senior at California University of Pennsylvania. Rick a four year players at Thomas Jefferson High School is majoring in Sports Management as well as a minor in Business. Rick has been with the program since the 2004-2005 season, following in his father’s footsteps as a former coach, Wayne “Blue” Young. Rick has assisted the club for the past two seasons.

Brenda DePaoli is the Administrative Assistant in the Office of Student Development and Services at California University of PA, and is in her second year as advisor to the Hockey Club. Brenda has been following Cal Hockey since her brother played goaltender back in the late 1980’s. Brenda began her recent involvement with Cal Hockey beginning in 2004 when she served as one of the coordinators of the ACHA National Tournament, which Cal U hosted. In addition to being an avid hockey fan, Brenda’s hockey experience comes from years of watching her daughter Brandie play for the Mon Valley Thunder girl’s team and her son BJ who played for Serra Catholic High School, Detroit Honeybaked and the AAA Pittsburgh Hornets. BJ currently plays on the CHE (Cal I) team and is an assistant captain for Cal.

Coach Berger, a native of Jefferson Hills, PA returns to California University of PA for his fourth full season with the team and his first third as head coach. Coach Berger has an extensive hockey background as both a player and coach. He has competed both at the Junior Level as well as in the ACHA Division I. Coach Berger also served as the Head Coach for clubs such as; Chartiers Valley Junior Varsity, Eastern Amateurs Midgets, and Mt. Lebanon Hornets Midget hockey programs. Justin looks forward to leading the California hockey program back to the ACHA DIII National Tournament for third time in four years and repeating as CHE Champions. Coach Artim enters his fourth year at Cal and second year as an Assistant Coach of the CHE team, after guiding the CHA team as the Head coach two years ago. Larry started his career at Cal as the assistant coach with the 2004-2005 CHA team. Larry helped guide the team to a second place finish in the CHA playoffs. Coach Artim is a level 4 certified USA hockey coach, and has been coaching in several capacities since 1993. He has coached in the Mon Valley Hockey Association - Pee Wee A and Bantam AA, South Hills Amateur Hockey Association - Bantam AA and Midget AA, South Park High School - Freshman, JV and Varsity levels and is presently the head coach of the Bethel Park JV team.

Coach Battista returns to Cal this year in his second season as the CHA Head Coach. Coach Battista is a level 5 USA Hockey Master Certified hockey coach who has been coaching in the Pittsburgh area for 13 years. He has coached from mites to midgets at the amateur level and has been a head coach at freshman through varsity at the high school level. He has also served at the Penn State hockey camps for the last 10 years including the USA hockey camp as a coach and counselor. Coach Battista is looking forward to building the CHA team into a top contender next season.

Patrick Kenny, Goaltending Coach

Coach Kenny, a native of Overbrook, enters his second season at California University of PA hockey staff as a Goaltending Consultant after serving as an Assistant Coach on the CHE team two seasons ago. Coach Kenny’s coaching background includes Seaton La Salle, The University of Pittsburgh, and Head Coach at Puckmasters, a one-on-one training center. Pat, has played goaltender for over 16 years and competed at many levels including the starting goaltender for his entire career at the University of Pittsburgh. During his time at the University of Pittsburgh Pat won numerous awards including being named the team MVP twice. After graduating Coach Kenny’s number 1, was retired and is the only player in the University of Pittsburgh hockey teams 30 year history to receive this honor.

Sean Rogan is from Shaler Township and has been an avid hockey fan and player for many years. Sean attended Central Catholic High School and played hockey there for three years. He graduated from Penn State University in 2004 with a B.S. in Management Science and Information Systems with minors in Japanese language and Business Law. He recently completed his M.B.A. at the University of Pittsburgh. The 2007-2008 season will be Sean's first with the team. Feel free to contact him with any questions or concerns.

Ian, a native of South Park, is currently a senior in college double majoring in Accounting and Sports Management. Ian is a former PIHL High School All Star, and two time Scholastic Showcase All tournament Team selection. He is a Level 3 Certified USA hockey Coach, and is currently an assistant coach for Bethel Park High School's JV team, where he has been working closely with the team’s goaltenders for the past three years. Maria Sollon, MS, CSCS is an inspiring and enthusiastic fitness Professional and Strength and Conditioning Coach. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention from The California University of Pennsylvania and a BS Degree in Kinesiology from Penn State University. She is certified with NSCA-CSCS, NASM-PES, ACE, AFAA and is a continuing education provider for both ACE and AFAA. She is also a Master Trainer for Resist-A-Ball, Gliding, and Promise Enterprises. She holds other fitness certifications such as Powerhouse Pilates mat and reformer, Yogafit, Precision Spinning, Kettlebell Training, Healthy-Moms Pre/ Postnatal Training, and is an EFI Sports Medicine- Gravity Trainer. She has earned a black belt in martial arts as well as her private pilot’s license. She currently personal trains, teaches a variety of group fitness classes, and develops functional sports specific performance programs for individuals, aspiring athletes and for college/ high school teams in the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas.

Angela Gibson, Power Skating Instructor

Angela Gibson is a native of South Park and alumni of Shattuck-St Mary's School. She became the first figure skater to attend Shattuck and spent two years training under world-renowned coaches both on and off the ice. Angela will work with both hockey teams on ice power and edge training, as well as off ice conditioning. She is looking forward to a fun and hard working year with the boys.
