The mission of the California University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate
Social Work Student Association is to:
encourage involvement and integration
of the efforts of students to achieve greater academic excellence, student
access, community support, political activism, and social justice;
to act
as a liaison between the students and the MSW faculty;
to advocate and provide
an opportunity to have a voice in Cal's MSW policies;
to provide opportunities
for closer bonding of all students in Cal’s MSW program;
and to establish
an organization that is practical and beneficial to students interested
in professional rural social work.
