HEARING OFFICERS
In addition to the Assistant Dean for Student Conduct, other administrators within the Division of Student Development and Services have been designated as hearing officers. Hearing officers are responsible for investigating complaints; conducting preliminary meetings with students to discuss the complaint, explain the conduct process and inform students of their rights and responsibilities; and resolve complaints through administrative hearings or refer them for a conduct board hearing.
Residence Hall Directors and the Greek Life Advisor act as hearing officers for violations of the Residence Hall Rules and Regulations and Greek Life Guidelines respectively. Both may also act as hearing officers for code of conduct violations dealing with the specific student groups they work with.
