Parade Route Alterations:

Multiple areas of construction will force alterations to the parade staging area and route. The Convocation Center construction will close Hamer Way and Third Street (from Hamer Way to the River Lot).

Staging areas for the parade will be:

  • Fire trucks will line up on Hickory Street and in the parking lot behind Natali/Residence Hall B
  • Floats will line up on Hickory Street, starting at Third Street.
  • Marching Units (excluding Marching Bands) will line up in parking lots behind Residence Hall A.
  • Marching Bands will stage in the area between Keystone and Helsel Halls and will then line up on Third Street, in front of Johnson and Natali.

- Parade will travel down Third Street, turn right on Union Street and will then return to campus on Second Street. The parade will conclude at the Kara Alumni House. (Floats deposited in River Lot via new entrance near Eberly)

- The parade will begin as close to Azorsky as possible. The judges and dignitaries will take their traditional post in front of Manderino. The area for judges will be set up the same as last year.

PARKING INFORMATION

There will be no parking along the Homecoming parade route starting at 9:00 AM until after the parade is over. Violators will be tagged starting at 9:00 AM. So the parade can proceed along the parade route, cars parking along this route will be towed starting at 9:30 AM.

Also, the parking lots behind Residence Halls B, C and Natali will be closed for the parade.  The lots directly behind those buildings, which are 24 hours lots, will be unaffected.  However, the second lots, which are cleared each night, will be NO PARKING on Saturday until the parade has ended.

Visit our main website for general campus traffic and parking information.
