Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater
11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Join us on a tour of Fallingwater,
the summer home designed by
Frank Lloyd Wright in 1936 for the
family of Pittsburgh department
store owner Edgar J. Kaufmann.
The home served as a weekend
retreat for the Kaufmann family
until 1963 when Edgar Kaufmann, Jr.
presented the house, its contents
and the surrounding grounds to the
Western Pennsylvania Conservancy. It is the only Wright-designed
house with its original furnishings, setting and artwork intact.
Tours are approximately 45 minutes in length and are designed
for adults. For the safety and comfort of our visitors, children must
be six years of age or older to participate in the tours. A family room
is available for use by adults and children, ages six and under,
who accompany them.
The beautiful grounds surrounding Fallingwater are also open to
explore by young children and their families. As considerable walking
and many steps are involved, people with medical concerns may find
the tour difficult. As an alternative, the Visitors Pavilion includes
exhibits on Fallingwater, a café, an interpretive nature trail and a
museum shop that is wheelchair-accessible. The first floor of
Fallingwater is also wheelchair-accessible. A video highlighting
the upper floors is available. Guests with special needs are
requested to call 724-329-8501 in advance.
Cost (per person)
Adults $15.50
Children 6+, and
students 22 and under (with Calcard) $8.00
Advanced reservations required by September 12.
The buses will depart from the kiosk in front of the Natali
Student Center at 11 a.m. Our tour is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
No meals will be provided as part of this trip. For your
convenience, a café featuring delicious, chef-prepared
selections is located in the Visitors Pavilion at Fallingwater.
If you wish to dine on campus prior to leaving, brunch will
be available in the Gold Rush Dining Room beginning at
10 a.m. Menu and pricing is on page 4.
Pittsburgh’s Station Square and
Gateway Clipper Cruise
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Visit Pittsburgh’s Station Square, the city’s premiere destination
for shopping, dining and entertainment. Take a ride on the historic
Duquesne Incline—a working transportation museum in its own
right. The incline was built in 1870 to provide a fast mode of
transportation up and down Mt. Washington. The original cars,
which are still in use today, lend a sense of history as you enjoy
the beautiful views of The Golden Triangle during your ascent
and descent. Afterwards, experience Pittsburgh as as you sail
along our scenic three rivers on the Good Ship Lollipop while
the Captain points out the city sights.
Cruise Cost (per person)
Adults (Age 13+) $14.50
Children (Age 2-12) $11.50
Duquesne Incline (per person)

Although lunch is not provided as part of this trip, Station Square
