Crisis Intervention
Emergency psychological evaluation for students is on a walk-in basis during regular business hours and is facilitated through the Counseling Center during regular business hours. Consultation with a Counseling Center Psychologist is scheduled by calling the office Monday thru Friday 8 AM - 4 PM (724) 938-4056.
After hours and on weekends mental health emergency services are facilitated by Public Safety. Call 724-938-HELP.
Formal agreements exist between the university and a local psychiatrist who is available for psychiatric consultation. During mental health emergency situations the psychiatrist may provide medical services beyond the scope of the Counseling Center. The psychiatric consultant, as well as select other professionals working in local clinics, provide a broad range of mental health, alcohol and other drug assessment and treatment services.
