Pennsylvania American Water has lifted the mandatory water conservation notice that was issued Saturday.
Power has been fully restored to the Elrama water treatment facility which services Washington and Allegheny counties.
Customers can now return to regular water usage for showers, dishwashing, toilet flushing, cooking or drinking.
Although the water conservation has been lifted, a boil water advisory was issued by the Department of Environmental Protection for customers who had water service disruptions during the water shortage.
Any customers who experienced a loss of service or would like more information about the advisories should contact Pennsylvania American Water’s customer service center at 1-800-565-7292, visit www.pennsylvaniaamwater.com or visit DEP at http://www.depweb.state.pa.us.
