Every year more than 200,000 people in the United States are hospitalized due to flu-related sickness , according to the Center for Disease Control.

With winter around the corner, cold and flu season well underway, advertisements and commercials for flu shots and people getting sick left and right, the question on every individuals mind should be, is the flu shot for me?

or the third straight year, California played the first playoff game of the year at home and for the third consecutive year, the Vulcans outplayed their first opponent.

Behind five rushing touchdowns, the California Vulcans defeated the Fayetteville State Broncos, 42-13, and moved on to the second round of the NCAA Division II playoffs.

On Nov. 10, Summer Arrigo-Nelson and Mark Tebbitt, professors in the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences, hosted a presentation concerning an upcoming study-abroad trip to Madagascar.
