Mr. Gonano Speaks! Dear Cal Marching Band Members, Things are looking exciting for this year's show, and with the addition of the Freshmen class, this year's promises another strong marching band throughout all the sections. I can't wait for camp to begin so we can work together to produce another fine Cal U Band and more "audience oriented" field shows. For those new to us, you'll notice that our games are Saturday evenings, which are covered by CUTV, our campus TV station. I hope you are having a productive summer and are ready to make this another great year. See you in August. |

For Incoming Freshmen and Transfer Students: Again welcome to California University of Pennsylvania and the California University Marching Band. OK guys it's probably settling in about now. You're either an alumni of your high school or a transfer from another university and are now a student of Cal U. Congratulations, part of what the band will do is make your transition smoother. You're really going to like the people in this organization, after all they were all new to the university some time or another. We're certain your participation in the Band program will add much to your college experience in terms of enjoyment, fitting in, meeting new friends, and being part of the university. We're looking forward to meeting you when you're on campus this summer for Orientation, please make certain you attend your schedule Orientation day. If you miss please contact administration for a make up date. If you rely on residual registration in august for your classes, you get what is left over. Especially at this university, you do not want that, trust us. At Orientation Amanda and Karen and other university students will be assisting you in scheduling your classes.. They'll be a great help to you. |
